The DogTools anti-pull harness is specially developed by veterinarians and dog trainers with over 30 years of experience.

The main goal is to provide comfort for the dog while being user-friendly for the owner.

The harness fits smoothly around the torso without pinching at the armpits and allows freedom of movement for the dog. Additionally, the harness is easy and quick to put on and take off.

DogTools harness versus regular anti pull harness

The leash is attached to the ring at the front of the chest. This automatically pulls the dog to the left or right, stopping the pulling. By giving a gentle tug on the leash, the dog can be trained to walk on a loose leash.

Unlike a collar, which applies continuous pressure to the throat and windpipe, the pressure with this harness is on the sturdy chest/torso, allowing pulling to be corrected safely.

The loop on the back is used for quickly grabbing the dog. And the ring on the loop can be used for securing the dog onto something for short periods. Additionally, this ring provides a secure attachment for travelling in the car, for jogging, or for cycling (Note: in these cases, NEVER attach the leash to the front!).

The harness is equipped with a sturdy buckle with an additional safety lock.*

The nylon fabric is easy to clean and dries quickly, and the used metal parts are rust-resistant.

All harnesses are carefully handmade in Portugal.

Suitable for all dog breeds from small to large. Each size is (partially) adjustable to accommodate the size of the dog.

*When attaching in the car, always use the safety lock! Also, take a look at our DogTools car seat belt.

The size:

Of course, the size depends on the size of the dog. Our suggestions of dog breeds are a guideline; the gender (male or female) and the coat can also determine the size.

To select the correct size, it is therefore important to measure the chest perimeter. Use a tape measure for this. Measure from the shoulders just below the armpits around the chest, while the dog is standing. Make sure the tape measure is not tight; there should be enough slack so that you can easily put your hand between it.

Size > Chest perimeter:

Size XS/S > 32-43 cm

Size S > 42-50 cm

Size S/M > 44-63 cm

Size M > 51-70 cm

Size M/L > 61-83 cm

Size L > 66-92 cm

Size L/XL > 73-102 cm

Size XL > 76-114 cm

*For dogs with long hair, it is advisable to choose one size larger. This allows the harness to fit more smoothly around the coat.

Please note:

We recommend using the harness only during walks. Take it off when the dog is unsupervised and do not leave the harness unattended.

Some dogs, especially puppies/young dogs, may chew on them, which can cause damage. No warranty is provided for bite or abrasion damage.
