The DogTools car seat belt was specially designed to transport your dog safely on the passenger seat in the car.
The seat belt features a buckle (also known as a "receiver") that fits into nearly all* standard seat belt sockets. On the other end is a carabiner that attaches to the back of your dog’s harness.
By securing your dog with our seat belt, you prevent excessive movement during the ride or the possibility of your dog suddenly jumping onto the driver’s seat. It also helps protect your dog from being thrown around the car in the event of a sudden stop.

The belt is adjustable in length, so you can set the ideal amount of freedom for your dog. It adjusts from 46 cm to 80 cm.

DogTools Tip:
The DogTools car seat belt is not suitable for Volvo vehicles.
We strongly advise not to attach the carabiner to a collar or to the front ring of a harness! In the event of a sudden stop, attaching it to a collar could cause serious neck injuries. If attached to the front of a harness, the dog’s body might twist, also leading to injury.
That’s why you should always attach the seat belt to the back (top side) of the harness.
In some countries, like Germany, it is legally required to secure your dog during car rides.
Some dogs – especially puppies or young dogs – may be tempted to chew on the belt, which can cause damage. We do not provide warranty for bite damage. Please monitor your dog, provide enough distraction, and reward them generously when they stop chewing.
