Car safety belt

The safety belt features a buckle (also called a receiver) that fits into almost all* safety belt buckles. On the other end of the belt is a hook that can be attached to the backside of the harness.

By attaching the harness to the seat belt, you prevent the dog from having too much freedom of movement while driving and possibly ending up unexpectedly on the driver's seat. Additionally, the safety belt prevents the dog from being launched in the event of a hard stop.

Made from the same high-quality materials as all other DogTools products and handcrafted in Portugal. The nylon fabric is easy to clean, dries quickly, and the metal parts are made of stainless steel. It can be washed in water with some laundry detergent. Rinse it with plenty of water and let it air dry.

The car belt is adjustable in length to create the ideal range of motion for your dog. The shortest setting is 46 centimeters and can be adjusted up to 80 centimeters.

The DogTools car seat belt is not suitable for Volvo cars.

We strongly advise against attaching the hook of the seat belt to a collar or on the frontside of a harness! Attaching to a collar can cause serious neck injuries in the event of a sudden stop. And when the belt is attached to the front of a harness, the dog's body may twist, potentially causing injury. In some countries, it is legally required to secure the dog in the car.

Some dogs, especially puppies/young dogs, may chew on the car seat belt, causing damage. No warranty is provided for damage caused by chewing.
