The DogTools collar is a smart solution for protecting flea collars against ticks, fleas, and lice. The flea collar is placed inside the DogTools band, protecting it from external influences such as the weather and limits direct contact with other animals and people, especially children.

An ideal product for dog owners with children and/or want to protect their dog against fleas. Our DogTools collar will increase the effectiveness of the flea collar by protecting it against dirt, water and damage caused by playing with other dogs. Also very convenient for dogs who get regularly groomed, washed, or trimmed, as the collar is easy to remove.

All DogTools products are carefully handmade in Portugal.

The fabric used is easy to clean, dries quickly, and the metal parts are made of stainless steel.

The collar also features a powerful lock with an additional safety tab. And dog tags can be easily attached to the collar.

The DogTools collar is compatible with most regular flea collars.

Size:

To select the right size, it is important to measure the neck perimeter. Use a tape measure. Make sure the tape measure is not tight; there should be enough slack so that you can easily fit two fingers between it.

Size > Chest perimeter:

Size S > 23-31 cm

Size M > 29-42 cm

Size L > 39-63 cm

Size XL > 60 cm+

Application:

Step 1: First, adjust the DogTools collar so that it fits comfortably around the neck. Use the buckles for this (see arrows). Make sure there is always enough room for two fingers to fit between the collar and the neck. If not, loosen the collar slightly.
Step 2: Remove the flea collar from its packaging and slide it through the loops in the DogTools collar up to the arrow.

Step 3: Slide the small loops evenly over the flea collar (see arrows).

Step 4: Cut off the remaining part of the flea collar at the point where the entire collar is covered.

The collar is now ready for use!! Don't forget to wash your hands!

Watch the tutorial on how to replace the flea collar:

Please note:

  • We do not recommend using the collar to attach the leash. This would put pressure on the throat and windpipe. Instead, use our DogTools harness, where the pressure falls on the sturdy chest/body.

  • Due to the bumps (anti-slip) on the flea collar, it may slide a bit roughly through the DogTools band. Do not use force, as this may cause the loops to break. Slide the flea collar gently through the loops.

  • The photos serve as a colour indication, the actual colours may vary.
